Chiropractors have to continue to maintain competence and enhance their current skills in relation to their practise of the profession. Therefore CPD (Continuing Professional Development) is a process by which chiropractors can extend their knowledge and expertise to improve health outcomes and meet the changing needs of the community they serve.

Professional members of The Chiropractic Association (Singapore) have to complete a minimum of 8 CE (Continuing Education) hours, a.k.a. CPD, for each financial year. If the CE hours in the financial year exceeds 8 CE hours, a maximum of 4 CE hours can be carried forward to next year. In the event that 8 CE hours is not achieved, the shortfall of CE hours can be carried forward to be done in the next year.
